Welcome to Chick Farm! Located in southern coastal Maine, we are a small family farm with a dual mission. Besides growing good healthy food for our neighbors and ourselves, USDA Organic Seal we strive to make Chick Farm work as a traditional family farm: small-scale, diverse, and integrated. Each farm activity -- whether it's livestock, gardening, or timber harvesting -- complements the rest. The result is healthy crops, healthy animals, and a farm operation that is gentle on the environment.

The Farmers Since 2002 our vegetables, fruits, and herbs have been grown to USDA organic standards and certified by the Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association. During the growing season, our very popular Community-Supported Agriculture program offers certified organic vegetables, herbs, and strawberries for twice-weekly pickup. Since its modest beginning with 16 members in 2004, our CSA program has grown steadily every year and has become the first choice for local folks who really appreciate their vegetables!

The Farmhouse in Early Spring Our free-range eggs and organic & all-natural poultry & rabbit are available for sale at the farm year 'round. We are also proud to supply our products to New Morning Natural Foods in Kennebunk.

Chick Farm was established in the 1700s by the Chick Family and was operated as a poultry farm for many years by Waldo Chick and Charlie & Mildred MacDonald. With Mr. Chick's death in 1988, the farm passed to the MacDonald family and is now owned and operated by the third generation, Rick & Marilyn (MacDonald) Stanley. In 1996 we granted a conservation easement to the Great Works Regional Land Trust to ensure that the farm will be protected for future generations.
